WCC: a Present from GlaDOS by thechoozen
Project Log: Here
Here's another serial modder and thechoozen has also seen the limelight of Mod of the Month earlier this year with his
Corsair Graphite 490T bullet project. This time, the subject is much more familiar and is quickly turning into one of the best Portal-themed projects we've seen.
Google SketchUp or pen and paper - both have preceded fantastic projects although we're guessing we've already given the game away. If we haven't then go and play Portal now you crazy fool. The project is the first we can remember to come out of thechoozen's modding factory that has been made almost entirely of wood. However this hasn't stopped him doing a great job with the corner pieces of the companion cube.
Here's the cube with several sections test-fitted together, and the loose section is a sign of some very interesting things to come. We get an idea of what this might involve above - a motorised lid.
The inside of the cube features some blinding purple lighting and on the right, above, it has donned its familiar shade of grey.
In the most recent updates to the project, we get our first views of the heart of the PC (pun not intended). This enclosure will house the PSU and sit in the centre of the case. Above we can see the motorised sections fully extended and you can see a video of this awesome feature in action
here.
Remember that you can now vote for several projects, but if thechoozen's lastest work is one of your favourites, head over to
our forum to vote for it.
That's all for this month! We'll be back next month with another edition of Mod of the Month, and six new projects that will all be shouting for your votes.
